One of my favorite tools just went one
point oh! - An oh what an upgrade!
Firebug went from totally cool, to
insanely great - if you haven’t upgaded already then hurry up, if
you haven’t installed it, the do it - you won’t regret it! It has
even obsoleted a couple of other plugins as you can now do inline
editing of CSS and lots of other cool stuff! For users of lesser
browsers, there is even a
lite version so they can develop
with Firebug and use all the cool
features on their development site that we can use on any site!
Oh… did it forget to mention it is
free ?

For a long time I have been using
lori - Life of request info with much
joy. - Then came Firefox 2.0 … Nice browser, but lori stopped
working… :-( Today I really needed it, so I unpacked it and
changed the max version from 1.5 to 2.0, and now it works again :-)
You can download it
here,
but I can’t guaranty it won’t blow up you your computer, but it
works for me.

It would seem that there really is some intelligent life
somewhere… If you are serious about web development, you too
would use this browser. The reason? -
Firefox has a super cool extention system for which some must
have/can’t live without extentions exist. The most notable being
these two:

Fear not the solution is near! Download the
Mozex extention, it will enable you to
edit textareas in your favorite editor.
Here is how to do it: On my mac the preference window for this
extention is “abit broken” but still usable. Go to the second tab
and enter the following in “Text Editor” [cc
lang=“bash”]/Applications/TextMate.app/Contents/Resources/mate -w
%t[/cc] Assign a cool hotkey (I use meta e) and you are done :-)
